Compressed Air
Dryer BURAN
ultrafilter inc. · · · ·
How the BURAN works?
Compressed air is fed into the dryer
and is precooled in the air-to-air heat
exchanger by the outgoing cold compressed
air. The precooled air then passes through
the refrigerant-to-air heat exchanger where

The ultratroc advanced
concept for drying
compressed air
At ultratroc, energy saving has always
been important, but now the BURAN range
comes with a new energy saving control
that thinks for itself. During longer periods
of zero-load the dryer automatically shifts
to stand-by operation using the TRISAB
heat exchanger as a cold storage mass.
This results in minimum power consumption
while maintaining a constant availability of
the dryer. The CFC free heavily insulated
TRISAB heat exchanger with its high material
density acts as a thermal mass, and will
provide effective compressed air drying
capacity across a wide and fluctuating
range of compressed air flow. Electrical
power consumption is remarkably low.
Refrigerant gas charge is low and only
environmentally friendly R 134 a gas is
used. No air loss microprocessor
condensate drains are now fitted as
standard.
it is further cooled to the required pressure
dew point (usually 38°F or 41°F, above
which temperature moisture will not form
in the compressed air system). The moisture
in the compressed air condenses out and
is collected and discharged automatically.
Finally, the cold discharged air is
rewarmed by the incoming compressed air.
This saves energy and prevents any
moisture forming beyond the dryer in the
compressed air system.
